“An electric barmaid- that serves beer on the press button principle, reducing the cost, and eliminating short measure, is one of the major attractions at the Brewers’ Exhibition opened at Olympia last Tuesday.
When you press the button, the machine pours out a pint or a half pint to the last drop, using the same amount of electricity as a large refrigerator.
It is claimed that with this machine the landlord and his wife can do the work of six barmaids.”
