What beer are you making for GABS?
We have a stout penned for the event. With 12 months under our feet we have a list of specialties to put through and this is between a choc oatmeal stout and a foreign extra.
What’s it called?
Will be under our standard ‘‘Conviction’’ moniker.
Where did the inspiration come from?
When we were commissioning the brewery in late January 2013, Ben Landsberry, my second brewer at the time, put through a foreign extra stout on the test system. It was a ripper, so we are taking inspiration from that.
For those who might over-indulge, do you have a suggestion for a post-GABS hangover remedy?
Beer festivals sometimes are like a rodeo, if the horse bucks you off, then sometimes you need to get back on it. Our standard post-celebration food of choice is also Pho, and a big bowl of it! Head to Richmond or Marrickville (seeing GABs is heading to Sydney) and dose yourself up!

… going to have another cracking year of diversity and growth in Australia. I am really excited that GABs is going ‘‘on the road’’ and coming to Sydney. Props to Steve, Guy and all the Taphouse team for having the conviction to make GABs bigger and better.
