What sort of beer are you making for GABS?
Chocolate Easter Porter.

What’s it called?
Burleigh Chocolate Easter Porter.

Where did the inspiration come from?
Because, Easter. And why should kids have all the fun? Plus it meant the brewers wore bunny ears the entire time they were brewing the beer. We have photo/video evidence.

Would you still drink craft beer if it was all alcohol-free?
Probably not. The alcohol and the process of its production is in part what gives beer its unique flavour, esters and essence. But like anything, too much of it can totally f*ck it up too.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve had someone say to you about beer?
We had a guy turn up to the taphouse a few years back. He was the first customer of the day and he ordered a sampler of five different beers. Obviously I wanted him to get a nice, fresh serving of each so before pouring his sampler, I grabbed a jug and started pulling a small amount of each beer through and dumping it into the jug.
He suddenly went, “Hang on! I wanted them all in separate glasses!”
Yep, beer is complicated.
