What sort of beer are you making for GABS?
A delicious fruit milkshake beer. It’s a smooth, creamy, cloudy, luscious beer brewed with lactose and packed with Australian mangoes.
What’s it called?

Mango Milkshake! We’re a new brewery and with 180 beers up for grabs, I want people to know exactly what ours is all about!

Where did the inspiration come from?
My mango milkshake obsession I picked up in Thailand.  Hands down my favourite non-alcoholic drink. Super fresh and delicious, I couldn’t see one and not buy it!  All our beers are inspired by our lust for holidays, and GABS is about doing something different, so this is our perfect beer to brew for the occasion. We’ll be bringing sunshine and Thai beach vibes to the festival!
What’s the weirdest ingredient you’ve ever added to a beer?
I started off as a homebrewer before producing commercially, so I’ve added plenty of out there ingredients to beer over the years. Cooked bacon was probably the strangest thing I’ve thrown in, though infusing vodka with the leftover bacon probably wasn’t the best idea!
GABS drinking preference – tasting paddles or a full glass?
I usually start with paddles, with the aim to get through as many interesting and exciting beers as possible, then move onto a full glass later with something from one of the stands or a beer I’ve absolutely loved.
The Great Australasian Beer Spectapular is on May 19-21 at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton, Victoria, May 27 at Sydney Showground Olympic Park, NSW and June 16-17 at ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane, Auckland.
