‘‘Present trends in the local beer supplies indicate that there will be a shortage of bottled beer for the Christmas festivities, as has been the case in previous years. The position will be somewhat aggravated this year as draught beer supplies from South Australia may also be affected.
‘‘One hotel reported that supplies of draught beer have already been cut and bottled beer is becoming increasingly difficult to procure.’’
