Consumers alone, according to some brewers, can decide what is and what is not craft beer. Brad Rogers at Stone &Wood argues that craft can only be a consumer-earned title. “A craftsman doesn’t say they’re a craftsman,” he says. “There are many different models, and none is better than the other. Brewers just have to do their best to brew good quality beer that they like and let consumers decide the rest.
