Number 1: This tweet from Garage Project
I always thought they were called Garage Project because they’re in a petrol station (aka a garage). Didn’t know they actually started in a proper tiny garage.
Number 2: Drunken Speculation – The Charming Squire (or, is James Squire a Big Steaming Pile of Poop?)
This piece from friends of the blog Liam and Ammo is here partially because of the super clickbait of the title (come on, you want to know if it really is a steamingpoo pile, don’t you?). But also because of the brilliant response to the oft-stated claim that James Squire is a big brewer’s attempt to push into the craft beer market. It’s so very good – wish I’d thought of it myself. But what’s that they say about great ideas – they’re obvious once someone else comes up with them.
Number 3: These “beers” from Douglas Brand Design
They’re not real – they’re a design project. But try and tell me you wouldn’t buy an IPA called Fuck You if you saw it in a bottle shop.
Number 4: Girl + Beer – What I’ve Been Doing Instead of Blogging …
Friend of the blog Pia has been busy with the awfulness that is moving house. To make it more fun – and get a buzz going – she chose to match the experience to beers.
Number 5: Beer Is Your Friend – A Surprise From Uncle Dan’s
In which my apprentice beer geek self gets really excited about finding Sierra Nevada’s Southern Hemisphere Harvest. I cringed a little when I read this post earlier in the week.
Number 6: …And it’s not beer, but you’ll like it.
