I was working at Malthouse at the time, and that was the bar’s stand at the festival. We had Dogfish, Thornbridge, Bridge Road, all sorts. Sam was as ridiculously supernice as his reputation; bartending with him was loads of fun.
He always gives off the impression that he’s a nice guy.
And I’d only seen a pic of you for the first time on the weekend. It was the pic you posed on the website doing an interview with someone at a bar.
Until then I had a very different image in my head. That image had you older, thin and with white-blonde hair. How I got that from just reading your blog and listening to a few podcasts eludes me.
You had me as Lucious Malfoy? (I can totally live with that.)
I’m very unfamiliar with the Harry Potter films so I googled Lucious – he’s pretty close. Just without the long hair.
