What beer are you making for GABS?
We are making a collaboration brew with Moon Dog.

Does it have a name yet?
No

Where did the inspiration come from?
I had one suggestion and Moon Dog had another one. Then we concluded: lets do both, in the same beer.

How much effort goes into designing a beer for GABS?
When I design a beer for a beer festival (any beer festival) I try to be playful and not make things to serious. If it is not perfect, then it is OK too, because there could be lots to learn from it.

Does GABS give you the chance to go a bit crazy and try something you might not normally brew?
Absolutely.

Does the spectapular bring out a competitive streak?
Not at all. I only compete with myself!

Explanation for the unaware: GABS is Great Australasian Beer Spectapular, a beer festival in Melbourne, Australia, from May 24-26 this year where brewers make a beer they’ve never made before and bring it along so the punters can try it. Cool, huh?
