I can’t explain why but this bear really freaks me the hell out. Certainly doesn’t make me want to drink Hofmeister. Though I’d bet David Hasselhoff would love it.
Ha ha! George, I think his name was? I grew up on these ads (there was a heap of ’em!) in the UK. Hofmeister’s logo was a traditional looking bear at a tree stump if my memory serves me correctly.
That was part of it for sure. And I guess the look on his face as he peeks out from behind that tree is part of it too.
Yeah, I’ve watched that ad a few times trying to work out just what it is that freaks me out about that damned bear.

There certainly must have been a heap of them because YouTube has loads and loads of videos with that bear.
it might be the fact that he spent his time in the forest apparently spying on couples making out…creepy at the best of times..
