This is a bottle of Mountain Goat’s Surefoot Stout. For reasons I’m not at all sure about, I kept this in my beer fridge (which isn’t actually plugged in so as to save electricity so it’s more like beer shelves I guess) for a few months after buying it. Quite a few months as you can see by the January 17 best before date. Six months in fact. As you might expect it didn’t go down too well, with a nasty bitterness sitting in the middle of the beer. The lesson learned? Drink the damn beer sooner rather than later. Idiot.
